Dr. Megan Knoell
DVM, CVA, CVMMP
Dr. Megan Knoell grew up in Goshen, New York and is a graduate of Goshen Central High School. She attended SUNY-College of Environmental Science and Forestry, where she earned a Bachelor of Environmental Science. Dr. Knoell attended veterinary school at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, OH. Following graduation, she completed an equine surgical and medical internship at Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center in Cave Creek, AZ. She founded Knoellwood Equine in 2021 to provide the highest level of veterinary care to horses in her area.
Dr. Knoell has special interests in reproduction, managing geriatrics, general medicine, and integrative medicine. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Equine Spinal Medical Manipulation (chiropractic) through Chi University in Reddick, FL.
When not working, Dr. Knoell can be found hiking with her 5 dogs, kayaking, gardening, or riding her draft cross mare in the dressage ring or on the trails. She currently has 12 horses of her own, including two new foals (Moose and Pip) that were born in the spring of 2023.
Kelsey K.
You will mostly experience Kelsey behind the scenes of Knoellwood Equine taking care of paperwork for Dr. Knoell. She has been in the horse industry since she was 7 years old and has experience riding both english and western. She is currently working full time in the Thoroughbred Industry caring for Retired Race Horses. She doesn’t currently have a horse of her own, but does have two dogs Benjamin and Magnolia, who keep her quite busy!
